Happy December!
Wow! It's that crazy time of year again. Two birthdays, Thanksgiving, and the season of Christmas. It's been a little hectic. Let's see... Brooks turned one. Can you believe it? He's such a great, little guy. He likes to spend his time doing things he shouldn't playing with things around the house. He likes blocks, and cars and trains- typical boy things. His birthday was family at home and was the theme of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Ray made him a beautiful cupcake caterpillar cake. Abby's birthday was at our church social hall and was a breakfast with Santa. She was very, very excited about that. Santa (Patrick) came and it seemed like most of the kids were excited to see him! Abby enjoyed running around with her cousins while Ray, his dad and my dad manned the griddles to cook up a storm. It was a lot of fun. Tonight, Abby was a sheep in the Christmas musical. It was short, sweet and chaotic. I was backstage attempting to help, but keeping 13 4-year-olds quiet behind a screen is no easy task. It was only a matter of time before everything blew to the ground. We made it though.
